If you are interested in Jewish culture and history or you would like to see more than only the most popular tourist sites in Zagreb, we will offer you Zagreb Jewish Tour. The first Jewish community in Zagreb was established in 1806 and counted 75 members. In relatively short time they have built a cemetery, a school, the Synagogue and created the Orthodox place of worship in Ružična street. In 1940 there were more than 9 000 members of Jewish community. During WWII, Jews were being deported to the camps. Out of the 12,000 Jews in Zagreb, only 3000 survived the war and genocide 1945. Today, the Zagreb community is the largest and most active in Croatia. They promotes Jewish culture by organizing events such as the annual Zagreb Jewish Film Festival.

During our tour you will visit most of major sites related with Jewish culture. You will visit the Jewish community and Synagogue, the beautiful Mirogoj cemetery and the Jewish school. At the Museum of Arts and Crafts you will have a chance to admire Judaica collection. You will also see the site of the former Synagogue and other examples of Jewish architecture.
